Learn to Row Day - Saturday June 5th 2010 - 8 am to Noon
On June 5, 2010, rowing clubs around the country will be opening their doors to the public and offering an introduction to the sport of rowing. This event is the 9th Annual Learn to Row Day led by USRowing and Concept2. Participants will be shown the basic rowing stroke, and find out some basic information about the sport of rowing. Participants will be offered the opportunity to try a short row in a crew boat to get the feel of rowing. This event is open to anyone over the age of 18. In order to try a row, participants MUST know how to swim well, and must complete a waiver. This is a FREE event. When you get to the gate, just mention that you are at the park for Learn to Row Day and you will not need to pay for parking either.
