Killer Bees participate in National Learn to Row Day

On June 7, 2008, rowing clubs around the country will be opening their doors to the public and offering an introduction to the sport of rowing. This event is the 8th Annual Learn to Row Day led by USRowing and Concept2.
We are holding a Learn To Row Day at Regatta Point on Sat June 7 from from 8AM to Noon. The Killer Bees are hosting this event in collaboration with Lake Quinsigamond Community Rowing. The Killer Bees Rowing Club offers rowing for adults of all ages and abilities. LQCR has programs for school age rowers.
Participants will be shown the basic rowing stroke, and find out some basic information about the sport of rowing. Participants will be offered the opportunity to try a short row in a crew boat to get the feel of rowing. In order to try a row, participants MUST know how to swim well, and must complete a waiver. Any rowers under the age of 18 will need a parent to sign as well.>
This is a FREE event. When you get to the gate, just mention that you are at the park for Learn to Row Day and you will not need to pay for parking either.
Call or email ahead if you can, but no reservation is needed. Email to row@killerbeesrowingclub.org or call 978-808-1102 for more info.
